Sarasota has tons of outdoor activities to enjoy, from biking and hiking to swimming, watersports, and more. But if it’s boating that you enjoy, you’re going to be in paradise! Bring your own vessel down to our shores and take advantage of the beautiful waters.

Our Sarasota waterfront rentals ensure you’re near the waves at all times, and the local boat ramps and docks are insanely convenient.

Sarasota Boat Ramps

Ken Thompson Park Boat Ramp – 1700 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, FL 34236

Ken Thompson Park is a great place to get your boat in the water. You’ll find plenty of amenities here, including a fishing pier, a playground, a picnic area, and even electric car chargers! Set aside a few minutes to walk down the Mangrove Boardwalk before heading to this boat ramp in Sarasota. The restrooms here are open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you happen to find yourself here in the evening, try to catch the sunset for an uninterrupted view.

Centennial Park & Boat Ramp – 1059 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236

Centennial Park is one of the most popular parks in the city, and there’s no question why! The view is absolutely gorgeous, and the amenities are hard to beat. Three double-lane boat ramps are available, as well as picnic tables and public restrooms. This community park complex is also the location of the Bayfront John Chidsey Community Center and the Lawn Bowling facility, so there’s always something going on. Access this Sarasota boat ramp at 1059 North Tamiami Trail.

Turtle Beach Boat Ramp – 8701 Blind Pass Road

To get to the Turtle Beach Boat Ramp, make your way toward Siesta Key and head to 8701 Blind Pass Road. You’ll find two boat ramps available. Take note that the northern ramp is gradual while the southern ramp is pretty steep. If you’re bringing a kayak, you can launch it from between the boat launches. Other amenities at Turtle Beach include grills, picnic tables, and restrooms. Parking is limited, so you may want to visit early in the day. It’s certainly a popular Siesta Key boat ramp!

Blackburn Point Park Boat Ramp – 800 Blackburn Point Road

Just south of Sarasota is the town of Osprey, where you’ll find Blackburn Point Park at 800 Blackburn Point Road. This park is a relatively new facility with plenty of amenities, including a boat ramp! You can also access restrooms, picnic tables, and a canoe and kayak launch. If you decide you’d rather stay on the shore, you can also fish from there. Either way, stop at the bait shop just before the bridge to get your supplies.

Coquina Beach Boat Ramp – 1465 Gulf Drive South

You’ll have to head down to Anna Maria Island to access Coquina Beach. Go to 1465 Gulf Drive South in the city of Bradenton Beach. You’ll find the boat ramp on Longboat Pass, allowing you to get to the Gulf almost instantly. There are plenty of other places to fish here as well. You can fish from the shore or head up on the bridge to cast your line. Of course, if the kids would rather stay behind, the beach is family-friendly and promises hours of fun.
