About The Circus Arts Conservatory

This incredible non-profit organization, formerly Circus Sarasota, has dazzled Sarasota, Florida, since the 1920s. They’re all about preserving and celebrating the spectacular circus heritage that put this city on the map!

In 1927, the famous circus maestro John Ringling and his brother Charles brought the Ringling Brothers Circus winter quarters from Connecticut to Sarasota. It was a game-changer! Suddenly, Sarasota was teeming with circus performers, support staff, and a lot of attention. The impact was so immense that it still shapes the city today! The Sarasota Ringling Museum is a great spot to learn more about the Ringling Brothers and the history of this famous circus!

The Circus Arts Conservatory was founded in 1997, originally called The National Circus School of Performing Arts. This non-profit organization made it their mission to share the magic of the circus with the world. The Circus Arts Conservatory takes its mission seriously. They’ve got three main goals.
