Vunique Vacations Pool Heaters

All Vunique Vacation properties are equipped with private heated pools, and all pools are typically heated between November 1 – May 1. During this time, our pool heaters are set to 82 degrees, and heating the pool to that 82-degree temperature is included in your stay; however, you may request to increase the set temperature to 85 degrees for an additional $200 per day.

With that said, there will be days when the weather conditions will not allow our pool heaters to accommodate the set temperature. Yes, believe it or not, even in Southwest Florida we do occasionally get cold fronts! During these weather events, temperatures can drop into the 50’s or 60’s, and as low as the 30’s, for a few nights in a row. Our pool heaters cannot operate in these colder temperatures, and as a safety feature, they are designed to shut down in these temperatures to prevent damage. The heat pump will begin operating again as temperatures rise and it will begin re-heating the pool back to the desired temperature when it is safe and capable of doing so. This can take several hours, and in some cases, a day or more, depending on the severity of the cold front.

Unfortunately, these situations are beyond our control and we cannot issue refunds for ‘Acts of God.’ Other issues such as equipment malfunction, temporary loss of use of equipment or amenities due to maintenance purposes, severe weather conditions, or other circumstances do happen from time to time without warning. In the event that a rare circumstance like this occurs involving pool equipment malfunction during your stay, please notify our team immediately and we will do everything in our power to expedite the repairs as quickly as possible.

Our pools, spa, and equipment are closely monitored by our professional pool service technicians for your safety and enjoyment, and we kindly ask that the controls, valves, pumps, heaters, and system not be tampered with because doing so could result in damage that you may be liable for during your stay. These system components should be evaluated or adjusted by the pool company technician ONLY.

Please see our Terms and Conditions, here, for other rules surrounding our pools, pool heaters, pool equipment, and automation.
