Vunique’s Cleaning Standards & Linen Program

Our Vunique Vacations cleaning standards and professional linen program exceed expectations much like our homes. Vunique provides high-quality linens and cleaning supplies to our housekeeping team that ensure comfort and the killing of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other harmful substances to protect your health and safety. As an added measure we only contract with licensed and insured professional housekeeping companies and utilize commercial laundry facilities to clean our linens between each guest.

Professional Linen Services:

Because Vunique prioritizes our commitment to excellence, sanitization, and the health of our guests, all of our Vunique homes are enrolled in our professional linen program. Within 24 hours after guest departure, our linens are stripped, collected, and delivered to our commercial laundry facility to undergo our stringent cleaning process utilizing the power of the OZONE system.

All of our beds possess protectors for the mattress, box spring, and pillows – each meticulously quality control checked, sanitized, and a part of a specific laundering schedule. 

Our linens, including our towels, are laundered at a commercial facility to ensure sanitization between uses. Vunique adopted a triple sheet process in making up our beds reminiscent of the most revered luxury hotel brands.

Our bath towels stand as a testament to our unwavering dedication to providing an exceptional experience. They are not only created to last but also to possess comfort and softness. 

The Steps We Take To Ensure Excellence

Upon guest departure, our housekeeping teams thoroughly clean every home using the provided cleaning supplies to meet the requirements of our thorough housekeeping checklist. Upon completion of their clean, our housekeeping teams communicate the status of their clean to their inspecting supervisor, and together they inspect the home to document and correct any outstanding issues found. Following this step, the inspector notifies the Vunique team that the home is ready for the Vunique Vacations Housekeeping Inspectors to perform their walk-through inspections.

Our Vunique Vacations Housekeeping Inspectors start their process by reviewing the housekeeping team’s checklist. Using this document, our inspectors confirm that the housekeeping team has completed their cleaning process and our inspectors make note of any feedback items left by the housekeeping team. Then, our housekeeping inspectors complete their own walk-through of the home and their own thorough inspection checklist. This inspection is very thorough, and it mirrors the housekeeping team’s checklist to ensure proficiency in our cleaning. Our housekeeping inspectors are required to take photos, make comments, and thoroughly document the housekeeping process for our homes.

After our housekeeping professionals approve the clean, they notify our property managers that the home is ready for the property managers’ final walk-through. Prior to the guest’s arrival, a Vunique property manager will conduct a walk-through of the property as an added level of quality control. If there are any deficiencies found, our housekeeping team is called back to correct the issues. If no issues are found, our property managers prepare the home for our guest’s arrival. The final phase of our quality control process is actually meeting you, our valued guest, at the time of your arrival to walk you through the home to make sure you are satisfied with its condition, and that you’re aware of how to operate its mechanicals and amenities to ensure a wonderful vacationing experience.

By providing the cleaning supplies, requiring specific cleaning practices to meet our rigid housekeeping standards, and conducting a multi-level quality control inspection process with a final walk-through with you – the guest, we can ensure a complete and consistent cleaning process at every home before every guest’s arrival.

Included Services:

In addition to in-home housekeeping, Vunique Vacations makes it a priority to stay up to date on the latest cleaning offerings for our guests, whether as add-ons or included services.

  • Bins Be Clean –  This local trash service ensures that our trash and recycling bins are seen but never smelt. This is an eco-friendly service that conveniently takes place in the Bins Be Clean mobile unit. All trash and recycling bins, at all Vunique homes, are cleaned by this service on a monthly basis
  • Pressure Washing – Vunique contracts with a locally owned and operated pressure washing company to service our homes at a minimum of 2x a year. This service includes the entire home exterior, as well as balconies, patios, furniture, fencing, windows (with screens removed), exterior walkways, etc. Additionally, our in-house Maintenance team also performs pressure washing services on a monthly and as-needed basis.
  • Bi-Annual Deep Cleans – This 3-day service takes place 2x a year. When coupled with the thorough departure cleaning, inspection process, and monthly maintenance programs, these deep cleans ensure that everyone experiences the same elevated accommodation when they stay with Vunique.
  • Professional Linen Services –

Add-On Cleaning Services:

Vunique is committed to staying up to date on the best cleaning practices to ensure the health and safety of all of our guests. This includes our offerings of add-on cleaning services such as mid-stay cleans, linen change-outs, or even daily cleans, which incur additional fees.

  • Mid-Stay Cleans are required for guests staying with Vunique Vacations for longer periods of time (14+ days), but any guest may add this service to any reservation, regardless of their length of stay.
  • Daily Cleans are available for our guests to request. These cleans can be partial or full and can accommodate requests such as linen changes, floor/counter cleanups, or an entire home clean.
  • Linen Change Out is available by request. Vunique can refresh your linens at any point of your stay.
